Tickets purchased on line will be available for pick up at the ticket window on the day of the show. The ticket window will open at 6:00 PM for pick ups.

// ABOUT KOLLABORATION NY

Kollaboration is under the umbrella of ProKreation Productions, a cutting edge, pioneering production company promoting entertainment in the Asian Community. ProKreation Productions aims to bring together Asian Americans and sharpen the level of talent within the Asian community.

It is evident that Asian Americans are at times looked as " the model minority." Many Americans assume that "All Asians are good at math or ALL are good at martial arts." Although some assumptions are true, some of the perceptions in the media have not been positive. ProKreation Productions aims to elevate the level of creativity in the community so that Asians will be looked to more than just as " market owners, dry cleaner owners, bad drivers, etc.."

Perceptions viewed through Hollywood and mainstream media in America are powerful. ProKreation Productions will use the medium of Entertainment and the Contemporary Performing Arts to generate a positive image of Asian Americans to the rest of the world.

Kollaboration is an innovative, annual talent show involving talented young adults and youth who desire to display their talents for a good cause. Kollaboration is also about bringing the whole Asian community closer together.

// WHAT IS KOLLABORATION'S GOAL?

Kollaboration aims to bring together talented young Asian Americans to elevate them to the level of their main-stream constituents. Ultimately, Kollaboration seeks to eliminate bias and stereotypes which act as obstacles to young Asian Americans seeking their dreams of acting, singing, etc.

// WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

It is evident that Asian Americans are often categorized into a certain image. Asian Americans are finding it increasingly difficult to get jobs outside the "model minority" or "foreigner" role. Because of these barriers, they find it impossible to tap into the American mainstream industry. Thus we find that not only are Asian Americans unfairly portrayed, they are disproportionately represented in the mainstream media.

// WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Perceptions viewed through Hollywood and mainstream media in America are powerful. Through the generous sponsorship of donors, Kollaboration seeks to change these perceptions and to pave the way for future Asian Americans so that they may accomplish their goals and dreams. Kollaboration is a stepping stone.
